    Suspension Fault

    My suspesion issue is causing about $1000 to fix. I need a new compressor (roughly $850 dealer price) and an exhaust valve (about $200 dealer price). You can read my thread entitled "RIP suspension." I'm getting the parts elsewhere and an indy Rover shop is charging me $250 for labor.

    I did take the cover off to check it. It was ok. We did do the relay jump start (as well as hooking up a battery pack to the compressor) and the compressor showed some signs of life. I could hear it running but it wasn't very loud at all. It was sort of like a slow humming.

    The tire place didn't screw it up. I had my car lifted again and the compressor was ok. It wasn't smashed or dented or anything. The Rover place I went to is not a dealer. LR Jag Sherman Oaks is small mom & pop shop that been around for over 25 years. They just happen to sell a few cars too...

    At least his car's rear would go up. Mine is slammed down like a lowrider and wont go up. The place I went to hooked up the computer system that a LR dealer shop would use, and that's what they came up with.

    I highly recommend the Kumho Road Venture APT KL-51. I have these in 255/60/18 and it's like a 10000000% difference from the Good Years. I'm very happy with them so far - smooth ride and no noise.

    NEXEN Tires....

    I called a trustworthy tire guy, and that's exactly what he said. He highly recommended the Kumho Road Venture APT KL51 tires. I'll see if I can find these cheaper than about $130/each. I'm pretty anxious to get rid of the crappy Good Years.
