If it was an '05, I'd say you bought my old LR3. I found that it blocked the view out the back too much and I tossed it about a week after buying the vehicle. Took a lot of begging on this forum to get someone to tell me how to remove it.

Funny - I keep mine in the basement; it came off about a week after we got the truck...

how do you get the rear center head rest off???

in the black plastic base where the headrest 'plugs' into the seat, you will find a button that is flush with the rest of the plastic. Jam a quarter or something into the button and lift. It almost takes 3 hands...
