$650 rear tire carrier? A new option?

I wanted a sturdy and easily removable rear carrier. I only wanted to use it when traveling or wheeling. Locally no need for a spare.

So I searched what was available for other vehicles, and how they could or could not be adapted to my lr4. What I started with was this https://ebay.us/m/ouZljM
Had local fabricator narrow the mount and horizontal bit by a little over 2", weld new studs on and ended with this. ~$400.
It sits a little far back, but met someone who got rear ended with a TR bumper and it bent and the wheel broke his back window. Figured this setup would reduce that.
The mounts width was also reduced so with carrier off, it's very unobtrusive. Have to cut the pins down a little too.

Nice creativity! Do you have better pics showing how's it's mounted to the truck? Welded to the bumper support? How's it's removeable?
How's the quality/beefiness?

Thanks CRYA. Mounted with four grade 8 1/2" bolts with reinforcement pieces (square 1/4 thick steel). Don't know what they are called, used in blind mounting trailer hitches. Cut a 3*2" square to insert bolts through. Used stripped wire wrapped around thread to pull threaded part through the hole, nut side out to mount.

It is really beefy. All steel, think it's 3/16. I also added th rust needle (bot censored the word without a space) bearing to take up slop and allows smooth pivoting. Did not flex with my 195lbs hanging on it. Actually pulled rear down a bit.

To remove, you pull both pins and only the mount stays. It sticks out about 2" from bumper. Bumper cover cut to fit mount tightly.
Was really surprised it does not squeak or rattle at all.
