hello my name is elio martins i live in an island in portugal ( madeira island ) and i have a defender 300 tdi that i am preparing and i need help ,advices , i want tires 36x12.5x16 or bigger but i´m affraid that the
transmissions don´t resist .. i want buy **** drive and ascroft ..
the question is if the car was yours what would you do ???
sorry my english again ...
and if you need a great place to holidays come to madeira island that you have a frien here ( me )

Welcome to the forum....

Transmission will hold up, but I would regear the the front and rear diffs... I would go with 4.11 vice the 3.55 that are in it.
