I am pretty sure I added to much ATF to my disco but everyone I asks has a different procedure for checking the fluid level. The owner's manual says while the engine is cold, shifting gears then checking in park but everyone else says when it is warmed up because the fluid levels will change a bit once it gets running. To make things even more confusing the tranny dipstick says to check it in neutral not park like the owners manual says! Which way is the correct way? Either way though I have too much. How do I safely drain some out?.?
