I have recently had the 250k service done and driven about 1500kms on various surfaces including dirt, mud and then 550 on tar. At all stages the car braked evenly and generally in a straight line.
After a couple of days in the garage around Xmas I took it out to find it pulling sharply to the left to the extent of being dangerous, Typically the ABS light is either right on or right off - it seems to always be on when I first get going but if I switch off the engine and restart it goes off and when I test it by braking hard it releases as it should.
Alos typically when my dear old '98 does get temperamental it's always on a weekend or over the holidays when no-one's around to solve the problem.
Given the possibility of an accident I didn't use it for a few days, then drove gingerly to the mechanic (recommended by my dealer but not a "franchised" LR repair shop) to find them still shut. Went to work driving on eggs. As I drove out on a very quiet road I did a "crash stop" from about 40kph to find a hard pull to the right- a second hard stop and it stopped dead straight and has been like that for the past 2 days.
Has anyone else had this experience and if so does anyone know the cause?
