Hi All,

New here so please excuse me if this Topic has been re-posted.

I have an issue with my 2000Disco. Last week whilst driving 3 warning lights lit up, My ABS, HILL DESCENT AND TC (traction control) I called the mechanic as i was driving and he asked me to pull over turn the motor off and restart it.
I did and the lights switched off. For the past 7 days though the lights have have come on when i start the car and stay on. I've tested the ABS by slamming the brakes while driving and they're ok, working fine. Anyone had an issue like this before? Should i be worried about a massive sensor bill?
Or is there a way of checking it myself?

Thanks all
Take care

Go to the SEARCH facility on this forum. Type in "ABS sensor". When the page opens, go to page 2. Scroll down 18 messages and you will come to an informative thread under the title..."Intermittant ABS/TC/HDC light".
Good Luck.

Hey Thanks Disco,

Had a quick look at it and it gave me a rough idea although it didn't really help me, i suppose only one who has had the same problem of 3 lights staying lit while driving would know.

Where can i find those censors by the way? I'd like to have a quick look at it before i take it in.

Thanks again.

There is a sensor at the end of the axle one on each side, front and rear.
Before you take your truck in, check that each sensor is seated properly, it is common for them to come loose a little. locate and push down on the sensor (do not remove it) on each end of the axle with a screwdriver. If any are out, you will feel it slip back onto its seat.
Hope this helps.

I have recently encountered the same problem with my 2000 disco. The "ABS", "TC" and hill descent lights have been on for the last several days. Any suggestions n what might be causing this?

Hey Richardrich, I spoke to a mechanic friend of mine, he basically told me to check the censors that connect to the diff, he said one could be loose otherwise take it in to Landrover, sorry but that's all i've been able to find out. Apparently if something goes wrong with the TC censor then all 3 warning lights light up, which is also my problem.
