WOW! This looks awesome!!! I have the same color (Nara Bronze) as you, so I am really happy to see the finished results. Do you have the stock HID lights or are those the Philips CV bulbs? Thanks so much for posting those pics, looks awesome! :)

No problem ...

Those are the factory HID's. I will upgrade the high beams to the CV's though.

Looks great! I had the same problem about the clips, but figured it out. I also taped the holes with painter's tape as I was so nervous of losing the screws!

I am going to seriously consider getting these yellow fog lights. I was worried about how they would look with my Nara Bronze, but you have the same LR4 and it looks great. Thanks so much!

Based on this thread, purchased the CVs from Amazon and finally got around to installing them today.... (H7s and H11s)

WOW! Took the car out tonight for a two hour drive and am impressed. This thread was huge for my wife because it helped us by a Metropolis LR4 (what she really wanted) WITHOUT Xenons (her prereq).... As we put 30K miles per year on our SUV and drive 100+ miles per day (much of it in darkness) we need good lighting to see all the animals that run out on to the roads (moose, deer, etc.) The CVs will be perfect!

And as a side, we just sold our LR3 with 90K on the odometer after buying it new 3 years ago. With 500+ inches of snow this winter in Park City, UT, it was and always has been an amazing car in the snow. Throw on Blizzaks, and my wife still can maintain 60 mph on the highway in ANY conditions. Can't wait to take out the LR4 this winter. This is my 3rd rover, and I could not be happier...

glad it worked out for you. The CVs are much better than the stock halogens. Can you post some pics of your Metropolis.?

I like the CV bulbs a lot and have them in most of my vehicles that can take them. Be ready to replace them often! I'm on my second set in my GM pickup in less than 2 years! The whiter light is not really noticable until you put one of the factory bulbs back in like I did. The factory bulb is so dim, it looks as if it is only 10v instead of 12v.

UPDATE: Per this thread, I installed the CV bulbs last June (2011) with around 1,000 miles on the odometer. Now with 31,000 miles on the odometer, both CV H11 "low-beam" bulbs burned out one week apart!

We really like the bulbs. The "white" light does a great job illuminating the night - far better than the OEM yellows. So expect a shelf-life of 30k miles (Gregorio was right!)

Luckily, I bought a second set last summer just in case. Time to buy more from Amazon...

UPDATE

Both CV H11 "low beams" just went out again at 58K miles (27k miles for life of bulb & 11 months). H7 "high beams" are still going strong based on initial install at 1K miles...

Great bulbs!

Thanks for the update.

Do you have them on as daytime running lights or just on at night?

We run the lights on "position 4" - which is Automatic mode under which the lights are managed by the ambient lighting conditions...

Position 1 is daytime running lights, and Position 5 is always on...

Thanks!

The 2013's must have different headlights, as I only have 4 positions for the switch.

1 - off
2 - side lamps on
3 - low beams on
4- autolamps on

Also, I had mine coded at the dealer to turn on the DRL's, which isn't an option with the control switch. So when the vehicle is on, the front and rear LEDs come on, when you put it in Drive, the low beams come on.

Thanks again for the update.
