How did you like the WinterRomp? I follow the action this year online. I want to go next.
How did your rover fair compared to the rest?

Thanks @NASdiesel
I've been going to Romp since 2003 so know it well. This year was pretty good, snow was deep (3-4ft). I usually drive my d-90 so this year was unique with the LR4. It was heavy, really heavy. I found it hard to get on top of the snow pack and the MT and chains and horsepower, it high centered a bunch and we did a lot more winching than usual. Always a good time in Feb.

@NASdiesel
Thats awesome to hear that it held its own with the rest even though you high centered and winched for a good portion of it (thats half the fun I suppose). I always forget about the weight of these trucks until I am in deep snow or sand or whatever, so I can see how that would be an issue in 3-4'.

I checked out your site and saw that you are based in Saratoga. Funny as I am from Cambridge NY and spent every summer growing up behind the line (in the kitchen) at SIro's. haha.

I would assume you are pretty dialed into the off roading trails up in that area, one day when I am back I would love to explore a bit with my LR4. I might hit you up next time I am in Cambridge.

Have a good one.
