    Id say thats a normal sound... Especially during hot days.. In temperatures under 60-65F the rover doesnt whine, when its humind it does..

    They all have the same 4.6 Liter engine, its just trip and apparence, an SE7 is a 7 passenger Disco, unless your going to haul lots of people I would just get a SE, nicely equipped.

    Won't start, need help quick.

    When my disco wont start, it is usually the wiring being dirty, I take out the wires that lead to the distributor, blow on them, clean em out with my shirt, connect everything back, and she starts without a problem. Id also check the wiring on the ignition coil, that gets dirty easily as well..

    Transmission issue?

    On occasion, the shifter feels really heavy to use, while on some days it runs as light as a feather.. What could be the cause for this? Im also wondering... She's up to 88600 miles now, she gets serviced about every 8k miles, fresh oil, filters, etc. Should I possibly run a fuel injector...

    Oh and to add.. My results were: 216miles on 87. 226 on 89, and 231 on 91. I had the air conditioner off, and I tried to keep to same driving conditions, Also tried not to lead foot it....

    LoL, Disco I see you run two forums too. Like I posted on the other forums, I forgot to add that I want to keep it strictly to the 3.9L/ 4.0L engine, since they are basically the same.. -Joey, neither do I, im just doing this for the sake of science. ( Science seminar class..)

    Wow. I misunderstood you. I never experianced that sort of problem, is this something that you just noticed? Is it harder to steer? Especially while parking/ low speeds? When I do take my Disco for a ride ill make sure to look if the same thing occurs. For all you know this may be normal.

    Hey guys, im conducting a scientific experiment for a major project on how many miles does a person get on 87 octane/ 89/ 91/93/94. On a full gas tank from Full to Reserve light, how many miles do you get on what type of fuel.
