So far i have not found the solution but i am thinking that it is the starter as it turns over intermittently... im going to have to take a look at it, but i dont know what the starter even look like lol... -

DISCO II cruise control
I had the same problem, was a vacuum tube just around the diaphragm, the hose had a pin whole leak in it on the underside right where it bends -

Battery or alternator ?
Joey you are right as i had a VM hooked up to the alternator and it says its putting out 14amps, but it does say that there is something drawing power when i have nothing on. Ive not added any mods to the car eather... so i donno what is wrong with it now. they only thing that i can think of... -
