Maybe. But the angle looks like it could be a bit off and if it is on the passenger side then where is the one on the driver side?

But at this point you all have me LOL! Its like all of the rumor and speculation about a new Apple device. Though, I admit, it is fun. And even though I'm no longer in the market, I am anxious to see this thing and see the specs. And all of the teasing from LR is getting a bit frustrating. They just need to come out with the thing already! Of course, then the reactions will really get going. And as with anything new, they will run the gamut from "awesome, look what they added/improved/did here" to "why the @#$% did they do that?"

I think that's the one on the driver's side... You can't see the passenger's in that photo. Ouch, my eyes!

Official reveal is 09/28, four short weeks away!

Maybe……. But it still looks so cramped in the cabin. Can wait for the real world pictures.

Spy shots fun too - keeps us opinionated for sure !

Anticipation …

Wait for it … ….

We're just one month away from the actual reveal at the Paris auto show.

This reminds me of when the first photos of the new Q7 came out and the forums hated the style. But when you see it in person then drive it, everything changes. That is why there is now a 4 to 6 month waiting list if you order a Q7. I'm waiting to see and drive the new Discovery before I get on the Q7 list. I do know that we are keeping my wife's 2013 LR4 forever!

The world premiere will actually be a few days before the Paris show, at Packington Hall in the UK on 9/28. The evening event is for invited guests only, but I am sure mere mortals like us will also get all the details on that day.

I'm glad that's confirmed. My DiscoII SD didn't have arm rests and it ****** me off every time I got in the truck. Things I did like, 16 wheels and no factory sunroofs which I heard leaked early on.

Unless this is a clever Photochop work, the rear liftgate looks to be 1-piece, no split tailgate anymore :(, and it looks MASSIVE (look at the size of those struts!) I wonder if I could even open that giant thing in my garage without damage, given the limited overhead clearance above the roll-up door.

You can sort-of make out the "activity platform" sticking out a bit from the rear, Land Rover's pacifier for those - many of us, I suspect - who consider the split tailgate a great feature of the current LR4.

I agree that's a massive tailgate, although I'm sure just like the RRS, you can set the tailgate to open at a specified maximum height.

Yikes. You are right that it seems massive - at least in this photo. I've seen other vehicles that make their 1-piece tailgate lower profile. IIRC, I saw one (maybe it was the 2014 MDX I had) where you could adjust the height of the tailgate so as not to be a problem in a garage. In this picture it looks like that thing could add almost a foot to the height when open. And IF that "spoiler" is as big as in the picture, its going to need some new ladder designs. Now, if they designed a spring-loaded awning that extended out about 5' or more and 270 degrees you could have built in shelter.

At least the LR 3/4 has personality and is unique.

I had a couple friends out today in my LR3 and they were amazed with the space, function and wowed by the adjustable suspension. :)

They just purchased a gently used 2012 Pilot. Commented they had wished they looked at the LR4.

Will I adjust to the new Discovery, sure … but I can be a little grouchy about the changes it for a while.

Who knows, I might like all the updates despite ******* away the current design language.
