I have that light on right now. If I disconnect this box, will it still have the same service engine light capabilities? i.e. Emissions codes or whatever. -
Piper cam installation in 98 Disco?
Google search Piper Cams, I believe they are the only manufacturers of high performance cams for Rover v8. I think the one I looked at had a .432 lift. Maybe a 260 duration. Piper cam installation in 98 Disco?
Has anyone tried to upgrade the camshaft, in a Disco, to a Piper cam? If so, is it mandatory to upgrade the ECU chip? Also are there any other manufacturers of camshafts for the Land Rover v8? -
Ticking Noise Continued
No exhaust leaks on my D1. I think I have narrowed it down to a lifter ticking. It does it when I crank it and when warm. It also has a very slight miss. So I guess a rebuild is in order. -
Performance for the Discovery

Heavily stained headliner...
I have some pics of me taking my headliner out, and reinstalling it with a new headliner. I made the headliner out of a king size bed sheet! (If I can figure out how to resize all of them). -

My 98 Disco (158,000 miles) is ticking also, but its on the drivers (left) side of the truck. Mine starts ticking right away, when i crank it in the morning. It ticks cold or hot. I haven't added any "mechanic in a bottle", lubricants to it. I think its a wrist pin bearing. I hope its a push rod... -

How u doin? I have a 98 Disco. It has a few issues. I live in Louisianna. 32 years old married 2 kids and 2 dogs. This is a project vehicle that I commute in. I do most of the maintenance on my vehicles. Thanks for all the good info I have already used!- Ugly
