my understanding of the rod mod is that it can shift all of your ride height settings by one level. in other words, the access mode with the mod is the old normal height, etc.:

i've owned bmws for a long time. a while back bmw went from all metal radiators to plastic ones. the metal ones would last a long time; the plastic ones crap out around 100k miles.

i have an '05 LR3. i've made several attempts to install the tow bar but no luck- it slides almost all the way in but can't quite get there. it appears the metal tab that slides in as you turn the green lever is not retreating far enough inside the tow bar, and it's hitting the "female"...
