Passenger door stuck shut
IIRC there is linkage that controls the electric lock. Manually pull on the linkage and that should disengage the lock. If the handle is not disengaging the latch you can open the door by using a screw driver to disengage the latch then spray WD40 in the latch mechanism. -

crank no start
2003 D2 4.6 SE, 110k cranks, no start. it would start intermittently often times with a spike of RPM to apx 1500 then it would settle down to apx 750. problem has been going on apx/ 2 months now it sits. Actions taken: *no thrown codes *lock/unlock 4x's *set inertia switch *checked fuses... -

rear crankshaft oil seal
I have a 83 Series ex-mod here in Virginia USA. I'm replacing the rear crankshaft oil seal and the 5-bearing engine supplement says nothing of using hylomar on the seal. What do you folks do? Hylomar blue or not? Thanks. -

update I wanted to update this thread as I have sorted out the problem. The rumbling noise was a bad U-joint. Here's the fix: I put the Disco in high lock and removed the front drive shaft. This gave me a rear wheel drive only and prevented any serious damage to the engine. Obviously the... -
