    How is your new D5?

Yeah, I'd prefer no run flats, but I'd probably stick with the premium plus and 19s. And just learned no air suspension on that model (and may not raise anyway). I've heard it's a much better performer and definitely smaller in rear. The already smaller Disco5 just has me looking elsewhere...

    How is your new D5?

Thanks. The 4 zones (at least in my 2014 LR4) are front and rear and left and right. So hot lately I've actually had the rear zones running even when it's just me in the truck. Comfort seats are the primary reason I want to trade. So a bit concerned about the comments the interior isn't...

    How is your new D5?

Where is the space reduced? I carry our bikes upright inside our LR4 and know the height has been drastically reduced. I tried fitting our road bikes with the demo and needed to open the 3rd sun shade. Need to go down and do the same with 29" wheeled mountain bike. I assume the demo had the 4...

    2015 lr4 nas

Yes, HD pack. Of the 6 they got in, all but one had it. Not sure why they'd order without, but that's just me. Price I see did nearly double in 2 years. It's a total treat to rip off the trail onto smooth pavement in the LR4. I've ridden my mountain bike over Hagerman in early July...

    2015 lr4 nas

Considerably more than I expected at 48k. Not bad for $60k (MSRP $61k) exactly 24 months ago. I took immaculate care of the thing, but of course a few scratches and the stock Conti's were going to be thrown out in a month or two when snows go on. Probably close to being due for brakes also...

    2015 lr4 nas

Just purchased a 2014 HSE Lux with heavy duty package this weekend (Havana, Arabica/Almond interior). The dealer received 6 LR4's this week with the next batch being 2015's sometime likely late October. Not caring for some of the additions and changes mentioned, and being able to deal now...

    2013???

Aside from the 2012 Ltd which comes standard with the full length. They could prove handy, but I personally don't care for the look of the full ones (especially in chrome).

Black Powder Coated Rims - Yes or No?

I also think they look/would look great, especially with your other accessories. Beefs up the look while still adding contrast.....Also I'd think fairly practical with dirt and brake dust assuming you don't have a problem nicking them all up on or off road. Good luck!

question on current LR4 lights option

There are actually 2,000 made. Maybe only 135 made it to the US, but that still sounds low. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/04/05/land-rover-brings-expedition-minded-dc100-concept-and-lr4-specia/

question on current LR4 lights option

Well, after owning a 2012 Lux for just over 48 hours, I can honestly say I can't imagine the adaptive headlights could make the HID's any better. Driving through pitch-dark neighborhoods and winding mountain pass roads, the standard and bight HID's and fogs are amazingly bright and stick to...

    X5 to LR4

Taking delivery this weekend. Santorini Lux with the heavy duty package, no additional trim. Arabica two-tone interior and black rubber mats. Taking advantage of the low .9% rates and hoping I get 3-4 years of relatively trouble free use. Biking season is almost over, but looking forward to the...

    X5 to LR4

I think for simplicity sake, I will stick with the 2012 19" Lux wheels and swap out tires when needed for seasons. I personally really like the look and am hoping the much higher profile tire wears better on the rim. I suspect it will.

    X5 to LR4

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the additional advice and thoughts. Late this afternoon I reserved a Santorini Lux that had recently come in. Beige/Arabica interior, Lux and Heavy Duty packages with the standard LUX 19" wheels. I went back and forth debating the pros and cons of 20"s and decided...

    X5 to LR4

I should also ask you guys who have commented - do your LR4's have 19" or 20" wheels? So far I have spent more time testing 20"s but am leaning to a Lux with 19"s. I am hoping the 19"s offer as firm as a ride. I think we're talking only a height difference of 50 to 55. My current 20's are...

    X5 to LR4

Thanks guys. The additional positive comments are appreciated. And I am definitely jealous of those having a need to keep both a BMW and LR4 (especially the guy floating around here with an X5M on order). For my type of driving, and given the winter, off-road and daily transport of some sort...

question on current LR4 lights option

I've done a bit more reading, plus spinning around a bit tonight in the dark in my BMW. The adaptives on my BMW (a 2011) are really nice and definitely hug the road. And, yeah, I drive a lot in the dark on winding roads that a barely lit and exposed to every type of animal imaginable from Fox...

question on current LR4 lights option

and to further the questions, is anyone noticeably missing/regretting not getting the Adaptive HID's? After my test today, yes, Nash and others are definitely correct, adaptive is available only with the LTD and advanced lighting package that includes the surround cameras. I can't answer...

    X5 to LR4

Thanks, JP. Great garage you there and I appreciate your thoughts. If I had my ways, I'd have a X5M (or a 2004 911) AND an LR4, but I'm not married yet and definitely only want one vehicle. Driving the LR4 today I wasn't disenchanted much at all. Rolling my 29ner mountain bike in with only...

question on current LR4 lights option

Interesting. Very possible the 2 Lux my dealer has include the vision pack. They're both in the 60k range. The third Lux was the Ltd. Will find out tomorrow....anxious to test drive again and maybe take one for the day/night. I drive so much at night in winding canyons and bad weather in...

    X5 to LR4

Thanks Sgrodz. I haven't exactly ruled out 20's on the LR just yet. My 20's are ridiculous staggered size in the back, either summer or winter ONLY tires with no choices for a bit burlier all-season. I've run the Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow's with the stock wheel and they do fine in snow at...

    X5 to LR4

Has anyone else made this transition? I currently have a 2011 X5 35d (metallic black) with everything other than the added suspension and steering. I know the LR will lack a few options - ventilated seats, auto dimming side mirrors being two features I know I use nearly every day. Not a big...

question on current LR4 lights option

Are you certain about this? Standard Equipment for the LUX on the LR US site says "adaptive front lighting system." Also, looking at the LUX on Friday the LUX lamps have the rotating "eyeball" headlamps that the standard HSE does not. I have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow and will also...

    Avoid the 2010 LR4!

Well, I can understand the dealer being willing to buy the vehicle back, but i wonder if they also knew the replacement GX 460 would be withdrawn from the market and recalled too? I'm really sorry to hear about this guy's luck... That car was an early contended for me, too, but then I realized...

    LR4 info display

I'm still waiting for an LR4 to demo overnight to play with stuff like this, and while eons ahead of the system I tested in 2007, I'm bracing myself for the disappointment. If memory serves, on either my test drive of the 2010 RRS or LR4 the TFT showed "mp3 track 3" or something totally useless...

    Newbie Questions

PDF of manuals are also available here. http://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/extfree2viewlrprod/index.jsp This link was posted at disco3.uk Taking a demo this weekend to decide between a HSE Plus and the Lux. The added lighting features of the Lux would be a "plus." Stereo too. The...
