    Off-road navigation app recommendations?

I'll be going to Louisiana in April and I was hoping to pick up part of the Trans America Trail through Tennessee, Mississippi and maybe parts of North Carolina. Has anyone here done this? Also, what apps do you recommend for Maps and Navigation/GPS for IOS devices that might have these...

Donor vehicle needed for rear bumper prototype in Utah

With Kaymar no longer shipping to the U.S., a metal rear bumper with tire swing out is no longer really available. I had contacted Expedition One in Utah about a possible rear bumper with swing out for the LR4 and they advised me that while they don't currently make one, they would be willing...

    Non OEM oil options?

Thanks for the input fellas. I'm actually a fan of Castrol normally but they have a racket going on. I'll be looking into this Mobil 1 EP.

    Non OEM oil options?

I'm sure this has been addressed before but I couldn't find any solid info. So here it goes.. What options if any, do I have for an applicable oil for my LR4? Amsoil or Royal Purple? I can't seem to find an oil by Amsoil that meets this illusive oil spec that is deemed appropriate for the...

    OEM Rear ladder versions

I'm curious about the front runner rear ladder. The biggest appeal to me is the platform at the top of the ladder. I plan on being up and down a lot as I do a lot of photography and that would be an added value to me. Price is moot as I have seen the oem and front runner rear ladders for about...

    DuraTracs - Handling?

I have the 255/55/19 Duratracs and took someone's advice on bumping up the tire pressure to help offset the squishy feeling. I run 44 psi at all 4 corners and it handles much better on road. I haven't had much of a chance to test them out in a lot of snow yet but they do amazingly well in...

    DuraTracs - Handling?

Looks like fun! I only have a couple hundred miles on the Duratracs so far but I really like them. Their on road handling is quite good. We are expecting some snow towards the end of the week so I should be able to test that put too.

    DuraTracs - Handling?

Just ordered some 255/55/19 GY Wrangler Duratracs. Due to be installed next Wednesday. Anxious to see how they do. I will give people updates as I put some miles on them if people are interested.

Best place to buy IID tool

Best place to buy IID tool? Where do you recommend buying this from and what is the approx cost? I thought I read somewhere that it was Bluetooth compatible with a dongle and you could use an iPad for the interface? Is this true? The link at gap diagnostics to find a dealer is broken.

    Toying with selling... Any interest?

I completely agree. I came from Toyota to LR. Great trucks but lacking in the soul department. They don't generate the emotional response you get with a European vehicle. I tend to like Toyota's older truck models better. Overlandbound's FJ80 is a prime example. My uncle had restored and built...

I need the specs for the 18" Compomotive PD1880

As the title reads, I'm looking for the specs on the 18" Compomotive PD1880 rim I need the size. I believe it is 18x8 Hub center size Offset Lug pattern is 5x120? Fifteen52.us is producing their turbomac rim in a cast monoblock soon and I want to see what the cost difference might be. I...

    New Englanders

Should be getting a fair amount of snow soon, which will make trail travel hard. You can always try the golden road in northern Maine. There are a pair of old and huge steam engine trains that were abandoned in the woods by the paper company around the turn of the century. Near eagle pond. ECR...

    Engine oil

I find it weird that the oil spec is so thin. Especially when the factory interval is 15k miles. Dealer recommends every 7500 miles but I was thinking about going the full 15k miles or one year with Amsoil. My family has had exceedingly good success with Amsoil. Between the quality of the oil...

    DuraTracs - Handling?

Hello All, I recently joined the Land Rover world with a 2011 LR4 HSE LUX with the HD package. I have aspirations to do a fair amount of overlanding with this vehicle. I eventually would like to get a set of Compomotive rims but that may be in a few years. Living in the foothills of the...
