Goin' to work this morning and I thought I threw my serpentine belt. Found out the Idler pulley broke in half, fell off and I lost my belt tension. Just by chance I took the pulley off my wife's 01 Grand Prix to see if I could get it home. It worked, the inside bearing dimension was the same... -

I don't remember when I did the fronts. I bought new ones for the back, they are the ones that have no plug (cheaper). I have to solder my old plugs to the new O2 sensors. I only disconnected long enough to see the pressure jump, I don't think the idle changed. -

Pressure tested. Manual states 34-37 lbs. I got 30lbs, when I rev it up it dropped to 28lbs. Pulled vac line off regulator and it jumps up to 38lbs. I'm saying 30 lbs is low, someone on one of the forums said 30lbs was OK. Next step? Change filter first? -

What is your reasoning for checking the fuel pressure? I see the fitting on the rail, have never checked this before. Do I need a special fuel pressure gauge to check the pressure. Can a gauge be permenantly mounted to the fuel rail? -

Thanks for your help Joey. Took it for a couple of good runs. Disconnected battery for a couple hours, still idled high. Checked stepper motor again. (I believe that was my problem for the low idle, it was very dirty). From our searching we found the TPS defaults to 2300 rpm (right about... -

Cleaned TPS, IAC(did a check, and it moves with on-off of key) , and MAF and cleared the codes. Now when I start it, it revs at 2200rpm when idle, drops to around 1100rpm with a load. Now What???? -
