1999 Land Rover Blinking Light

While driving to work this morning, my 1999 DII, reved up while I was stopped at a light. I then noticed that the manual "M" and sport "S" light in the dash were blinking as well as the "D" for drive. The little red light on the shifter was also blinking. I pulled over and turned the car off, then started it again, and everything was fine. But the same thing happened a few minutes later. Any ideas, thoughts would be appreciated.

I heard these lights may indicate either an electrical fault within your automatic transmission, or a problem with a dying battery. I beleive the dealer or the like, should be able to access the error codes for you.
