2013 - 2014 DVD Navigation Update?

NAVTEQ finally released a 2013 - 2014 DVD Navigation update for the LR2.

Does anyone know if one is coming for the LR3?

About a month ago, I did some checking and there was nothing new, 2012 seemed to be about all there is.

Perhaps the emergence of an LR2 disc suggests hope.

I wonder why they do not call it the 2014 2015 disc? I guess 2013 2014 is more accurate so they are to be encouraged.

I called the dealer today to see if they had any info on a newer disc coming out for the LR3. They said the two systems were different and they didn't think there would be one soon if at all.

My understanding is that LR UK has decided not to support the D3 as far as updated Navigation discs are concerned.

Perhaps this is good as that suggests NavTeq can now sell direct to us. As such it is a matter of them deciding that there is a market for something newer than 2011 / 2012. This is ironic in that they are the guys out selling the idea that out of date is bad and up to date is good.

I have the 2008 DVD in my 2005 so I would be in the market for an update at about $200.00
