Hello... hoping someone might have some ideas beyond the sensor issues that set LR4's alarms off. We did go through that a couple years ago, had the hood latch sensor replaced and it fixed it. It has started again. Last time the car did tell us the hood was open (it wasn't). This time it isn't giving us any door or hood opening warnings and we had it checked at the dealership and they said the sensors were all good. It is going off even though the alarm hasn't been set or doors locked (in our garage). We can't disarm it with the fob. Starting the engine sometimes works but other times the car won't recognize the fob so we've resorted to unhooking the battery (we even tried taking out the horn fuse but there is still a quieter horn alarm sound that goes off??). Any ideas? It's a 2011, 110K (we did replace the battery about two years ago). Thanks!

I've had two door locks fail - the 2nd row right and the driver's door. Both locks would fail to actually lock causing the alarm to go off randomly. Yours sounds more like a computer issue.

Safe travels,

We had the same issue with ours going off at odd times in the evening a little while back. Was a real mystery as the alarm hadn't had this issue before and no recent changes had been made to the truck.

After thorough inspection of the available evidence, it was determined the culprit was the darned CAT! :creep::angel:

SkyTree- haha :) I hope ours ends up being an inexpensive fix like that! I didn't realize that you can run a diagnostic on alarms and it will tell you what sensor triggered it. The mechanic is going to do that for us if we can time being able to have the alarm go off and get it to them without having to unhook the battery to shut the alarm off...
