Commercial versions of SUVs are quite common on Europe, even loaded to the gills with luxury features, since pickup trucks basically don't exist and are considered an American aberration...
There are substantial tax benefits for company owners over there to purchase this vehicle instead of the "SUV" version, think of our Section 179 deduction except that over there, to be classified as "commercial", the SUV must permanently lose the rear seats and have a full cargo cage behind the front seats. There was a commercial Discovery 4 (LR4) sold as well. Quite a few owners in the UK are anxiously waiting for Land Rover to release the commercial version of the Defender 90, which is coming. LR already released photos and videos and it actually looks pretty cool and way better than this Disco (having 2 doors only helps), but of course we won't ever see that version here in NA.
