Chassis rust proofing

I'm about to put a new rear crossmember on the back of my defender 90, and I was just wondering what the best rust proofing for the chassis would be. It was wax oiled about 3 years ago and the stuff is s**te!

i have used "ISOFLEX HIGH PERFORMANCE LIQUID RUBBER " on my land rover this stuff also works well under the floor pans etc.
