My CEL was on when I purchased my used 2005 LR3 SE V8, and I received a "We Owe" from the used car dealer, and they were going to check the code, clear it and fix whatever was wrong.

Just my luck, after 2 weeks of driving, and 1200+ miles, the CEL has cleared itself and is no longer on.

Will the code still be stored and will they be able to see what is was?

could be a simple 0455 caused by a loose gas cap. have it taken to the dealer and not the used car dealer to have it properly fixed and diagnosed.

besides you might have a recall open or two.

Update - The used car dealer had to take it to Hunt Valley Land Rover 2 miles away. Ha. MAF Sensor Code MAF ordered, and it will be replaced next week.

I also contacted Land Rover Harrisburg and they said when i bring it in for a PA State Inspection, they would perform any recalls or TSBs that are outstanding. They seem nice enough. Now if they can fix my Auto Headlights, I'll be set...
