cooking oil?biodiesel

Hiya Is anyone running there TD5 on cooking oil diesel mix or Biodiesel ?

Not running TD5 on this, but I know a lot of people who run nothing but used cooking oil - no mix, in their Diesels. Biodiesel is not cheap and not worth the money.

You can run cooking oil down to around 30 def Farinhiet (sp) after that you either have to mix, or run #1 diesel to prevent gelling

It is if you make it yourself. Depending on where you source the ingredients, eg, waste cooking oil, sodium hydroxide and methanol, you can make it for around 6 cents a litre in your backyard.

Your right, I was thinking of something different. If I recall correctly at one time they (government) was trying to make a synthetic diesel and that is what I was thinking. Sorry
