Disco voyager rack on LR3

Has anyone tried or ever heard of trying to modify a disco voyager rack to fit an LR3? I have an opportunity to get my hands on one and I think it can be done, but was just curious if anyone has ever tried to tackle the idea. I know voyager makes a rack for the LR3 but I just don't have the cash at the moment to throw down on it. A torch, welder and a local fastenal might be able to make it work. Any thoughts?

I know where you can buy a pretty beat up LR3/4 exp rack for about $400.

I like those voyager racks a lot. I'm sure you could adapt anything you want with the right skill...wait, I mean time and $$
