hello everyone,

as a proud owner of a 2004 RR Westminster edition, ive been spending a lot of time researching on the vehicle..ive read a lot about problems with the front differential failing especially on the MKIII's.... i bought mine with 75000 miles on it (with of course extended warranty) and hope this doesnt happen to me....is there a way for me to check by myself if this has failed on my vehicle or if it has been reparied already or if the problem has been rectified??? any information about this would be greatly appreciated...thanks so much

The only reason I can think of that the Diff would fail is if you don't change the gear oil.

I recommend that you change the gear oil at least once every 2 years, but in mine I change it every year, because I do go off roading.
