Hood open message

Just came on this morning. Haven't even had the hood open in 2 days. Anything I can do to avoid the 2hr wait at the dealer?

Sounds to me like the hood sensor is out of adjustment. You should be able to check to make sure the little black button is still straight up and down on the side where the hood should contact it.

Does yours really say "Hood?" Mine says "Bonnet!"

yes...my 06 said bonnet...apparently the 07's are more americanized

Can someone tell me where this sensor is located and how to adjust it? I think this is creating problems with my alarm system.

Had the same problem, the sensor in RHD vehicles is in the Drivers side bonnet catch.

My sensor was faulty and kept setting off the alarm, the dealer replaced it under warranty
