By the book, plugs are to be changed at 60,000. I switched earlier, due to some bad plug wires, and installed Bosh Platium Plus 4's and a set of 8mm Magnacor wires, made a huge difference in low end power.
O2's are usually pretty worn by 75 to 80,ooo miles if you are looking for power.
K&N filters help slightly especially on high revs.
I took off the rear resinator from my exhaust, sounds better, not loud and a slight bit improvement with gas mileage, .25 MPG.
