I phone not compatible ?how to resolve

HI All,

I own a land rover supercharge sport 2011

I can't play the I phones 4 or 6 stored music in the car

I tried the bluetooth ,but only calls are picked up and nothing else

I also tried the i pod cable provided already in the car by the manufacturer

Any advise how to resolve this issue as i keep getting device error on the screen
