Another problem with my MkI Freelander (2006) relates to the new clutch, ***** cylinder and dual mass flywheel that has just been fitted.
Don't feel the new set up is right. There is way too much free play in the clutch pedal (about halfway before anything happens) and changing gears a bit clunky at times as if gears not fully dis-engaging fully. Have had a few 'cabbagey' smells arise when driving (burning clutch?).
Asked the garage to check it but they are saying it is ok. They have said they could change the master cylinder which MAY reduce the free play in the clutch pedal.
Feel they are avoiding an issue but I haven't enough knowledge to back this up. Can anyone advise please?
