Keyless entry

i purchased a used LR3, when bought the dealer could only provide one 1 key/remote...hey ordered the key/remote for me but states i have to drop off my LR3 to the dealer for a day(1 hr away) from them to sync the remote to the car

is there anyway i can sync it? would be much easier to have them ship me the key/remote and i sync it...thanks, any help is appreciated

Sorry, programming for the key and the fob has to be done with test book by the dealer... which makes good sense, for security purposes.
