Anybody with the workshop manual. need to set the valve and engine timing?

If you are refering to the electronic ignition timing, it is relevent to cam timing and not adjustable. It is entirely computer controlled and not adjustable without a tuning computer. To set the cam timing (relation between crankshaft and camshaft) you WILL need factory Land Rover tools to lock the crank and camshafts in place while advancing the VVT hub. This is only required it the cam timing has been lost, say, removing the timing chain. If you can be more specific on exactly what you are doing, I may be able to help.

Manuals for this car have always been in electronic format. They require a subscription to view. Manuals are here, (click on technical information). manuals
. Most peolpe get a subscription for a short time and print out what they need. Good luck with that project.
