what ever happened to this thread?

I too am looking for 17" options for winter, as Hakk's have a tonne in 275/60/17, which are bang on same size. SO now to find winter rims in 17. Or is it wait for v6 rims?

Unlikely a 17" rim will fit over the V8 front brake calipers...check before you buy. I'm almost certain the v6 rims will NOT fit.

If you find 17" rims that fit, and have necessary load capacity, post it up. I'd prefer 17 inchers all year round.

V6 rims will fit fine on V8 cars, I've sold them before as a cheap alternative to the factory 10 spokes.

I thought the V6 rims were still 18". The ones with 5 spokes right? I use one for my spare.
If there is a 17" alternative dave26 could you tell us where to get them??

17" factory wheel is RRC002851MNH OR RRC002852MNH, (supercession). LRNA shows 15 in the warehouses US. Priced in the mid $400 range. Your local dealer should be able to get them, if not, PM me.
So:
19 fits everything
18 fits everything, while V6 cars have smaller rotors and caliepr brackets, the wheels have the same dimensions as the V8 cars, so for all intents, are interchangeable. Never been a problem.
17 fits diesel and V6 only, they share the same braking components.

Note: I imported some 19' MTR's a year or so back, (they are Dot approved, but not available US.), but after the weak U.S. dollar and ship, they came in around $379 each. Youch!

Thanks for the info. I have an 06 V8 SE, so I think that counts me out for the 17's.

$400 each? I found some 17's locally for $104. I guess I have to check the clearances and load ratings.

I can't imagine what that would be at a canadian dealer.....
