I’ve been thinking to replace my factory 18” wheels to 20” or 22”. Anyone done this and notice any problems? Or anyone have any ideas if it’s going to change anything except speed and the mileage? Because LR3’s a little picky I think. On the new 2009 models theirs is an option for 20” wheels. But I’m not sure if my 2005 LR3 going to like the change.

The newer 06 and up rims from a range rover I believe fit on the LR3.
Redbourn also makes rims that fir LRs. Some X5 rims fit as well.

Vlady,

The key is to get tires mounted on the new rims that match outside diameter with the current set-up.

Thanks for the reply. I thing that 22's might be too much. Everybody was toking about the looks. I am more concern about mechanical problem that might go with that change. + I'm saving my original set, so if i want to go offroad, they will be available.

I've seen 20's on an LR3 that looked pretty good. But 22's would look too big IMHO.

The 06 Range Rover wheels will fit, but the offset is a little different than the LR3 (57mm vs. 53mm). Any wheel off a Range Rover Sport, on the other hand, is compatible with the LR3. If you pick the right size tires your speedo will remain accurate.

Maybe you could get those really classy, stylized chrome adhesive emblems for the fenders and tailgate that have the helpful measurements in inches - 22" - so folks don't miss the point. I love when I see those on cars rolling through the Detroit freeways with their OEM 16" steelies in place. Hmm.

20's don't look completely ridiculous, but 22's would. I've seen smoked stormer 20's from a Sport on an LR3 at my local dealer (dealer's car), and it looked pretty good. But big wheels on an LR3 is kind of like putting high heels on a running back IMHO...
