nearly new defender TD5

hi i am looking at buying an nearly new 110 csw defender 02-05 but a have heard people saying that the td5 engine has lots of problems with the head and it can cost 2k for a new head . I have also heard it leaks and the fuel figures set out by land rover are much better then i would expect to get.This is making me hold on to my cash can anyone help me out here .Many thanks sparky .

hello,o said de td5 have problems?? is because never get one,i´m from portugal i have a lote of friend´s that have the engine td5 and 00000 prob.
