Yes, there is one wear sensor on the front pads (inner pad - driver's side) and one on the rear pads (inner pad - passenger side), in a slot on the pad and held in place by a small copper clip.

OK some new information for all of us here...

EBC responded to my brake issues and had this to say: "rotors do NOT warp, you have a thing called DTV , disc thickness variation caused by hub run-out and the only way to cure this is by skimming your rotors on a Pro Cut ON CAR Brake Lathe as opposed to a bench lathe which is useless"

http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/pro_cut_lathe.shtml

Most Pep Boys stores will have this machine.

Also after reading on the EBC website they have Yellow pads which are a Kevlar type and are very similiar to factory pads for performance and heat dissapation. Since the LR3 has undersized brakes the heat becomes an issue and not any pad will work. EBC Green pads should work on any vehicle an adequate sized brake system.

You may also note that buying rotors from an unknown source for a good deal usually means its from China and anyone who works in the steel industry knows that China steel is softer and not nearly as good as US or British made steel rotors.

As for the comment of the brake issues being caused by the driver... that is false and just because you have a heavy foot does not cause rotor warping, only brake pad wear!

Thanks guys!
