IID Tool and alignment

Is that calibration automatic? That would be a nice feature....for the steering angle sensor I mean.

The steering angle sensor calibration is NOT automatic but it's a simple job with the tool, after you have completed the alignment and taken the vehicle out of Tight Tolerance.

I guess what I'm asking is if it's a simple selection on the IIDTool or if you have to make calculations and inputs?

It's a simple calibration selection from the tool that requires no calculations from the user. The process is described on page 43 of the IID manual.

I've spent $8545.02 over the last three years. (2848.34 annually) Basically from 65K to the 105K I have on it now.

Usual stuff:

- 4 Tires and alignment
- Spark plugs
- Thermostat housing
- Lower control arm bushings
- Height sensors
- ABS module
- Starter
- Battery
- Wiper cowling
- A pillar repair kit
- Front diff vent per TSB
- Brake light switch
- Alternator
- Rear, Front and transfer case fluid
- Transfer Case Control Module
- Front and rear brakes
- Oil Changes

Will be completing the transmission filter next month for the tune of $800 dollars

Doing my 2nd transmission service soon, 180K. This time with the metal pan with separate filter conversion kit. Britpart DA2142. $142 + $32 shipping. ZF fluid - $161. Labor less than 2 hours, even shorter after conversion. Subsequent service requires only the filter $23 and fluids.

No lifting the engine/transmission or disconnecting the exhaust.

I would do that in a second if it didn't reduce the oil capacity by a quart or so....because of that I'm conflicted. Either route has pros/cons.
