Oil filters

From what I have seen on-line, K&N and Mobil 1, are both made by the same company, but I don't believe it is Wix. That being said, doesn't make much difference who makes them as long as they ar built to a much higher standard then the OEM filters and both of these are both in filtering media as well as extra volumn and media, about 35 % more.

I think as long as it isn't Fram...or some off beat brand, it's fine.

I use K&N 1014 for our LR3 's V8 jaguar engine.It is longer than OEM which is better and fits perfectly.

Lets put this topic to rest, Wix does not make either the K&N or Mobil 1 filters, Champion Labs does, read the attached link and their findings.
