On my way back from NJ, 40 miles from home, and the dreaded Service engine soon light appears. It still seemed ok until I was 5 miles from home and all of a sudden the idle went erratic. I limped it home, plugged in my Jeep/Pontiac diagnostic tool (It may not have LR listed but it works perfectly (Autoxray codescout)) and these 2 codes appeared (P0102, P1884). I'm a gambler, so I bought one off of a used part dealer on e-bay for $50, it arrived today and plugged it in, reset the codes and it works perfectly. Codes are gone..

In my search, I found new genuine Bosch ones for $125 and here is the link -> http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/2002/land_rover/discovery/air_intake/air_mass_meter.html

I'm an Happy with the used one, but next time, a new one for sure.

This site is the best.
