I am looking at stroking a 3.9L engine using the 4.4 crank. I have most of the info on the conversion but am not sure what piston to use. If anyone has any info on this conversion or has done it I would love to hear how to bring it all together. I know the mains need to be ground down to suit, also the 4.4 rod are the ones I think to use as the 3.9L one are to short and the pistons hit the crank. I think the piston could be the 4.0L as it is the same diameter but I think it is shallower. The 4.0L also has the same wrist pin size so there's no modifications there.

Any input would be muchly appreciated.

Cheers::biggrin:

It would be cheaper to buy a used 4.6 out of a wrecked Rover, but if you still want to do this I would call http://www.aluminumv8.com/
