I love the truck and have about 5K on it. It is a later 05. Some of the first 05's may be more prone to problems than the later 05's. Note, "may." Check the vin. G and later seem to be possibly less prone to problems. Again, no real statistically proven data to back this up, but from being on this forum, having access to all the recalls and TSB's, that is simply my feeling.
I have not priced them, but $40K for a used 05 SE with 15K seems to me to be a bit high. Again, I have done zero research on this config, but I bought a brand new 05 HSE with all options and zero miles for $47K. That was back on 11/30/05.
