tranny lights flashing!

Hello all, I have a 2000 Disco II with 68,000 miles on it. last week as I backed out and shifted into drive, I heard a bang and the manual and sport mode lights started flashing on the dash. I drove the car a couple of blocks to where I parked it and, when started later, the lights were off and all seemed fine.
a week later, this morning, the lights came on again and came back on after sitting all day. the manual just says to get it looked at that it is an electrical issue.

How can I fix this!!??

Sorry for the delay in a response on this, I try to see all the post, but some do slip by when I work.


This is normally caused by the battery starting to go dead. Check it/replace it... the cluck could be a bad transfer case...
