So I have read alot of post of LR3 owners complaining of the engine making a ticking sound and exhaust leak sound under acceleration. I have read dealers say its normal and then say its a valve adjustment thats needed to correct the sound. My question is Has anyone gotten this valve adjustment and had the noise corrected?? Do all V8 LR3s do this because mine sure does?? Thanks

You can't adjust valve in a Rover/Jag motor because they are Hydraulic. How many miles are on the truck? How often do you have the truck serviced?

Does it only happen when the engine is warm? Try re-torquing the exhaust manifolds. Specs call for 20Nm or 15 lb.ft.

1. Remove road wheel
2. Remove inner fender splash shield
3. Remove heat shield.
4. Torque and re-assemble

Of course I say all this but haven't done it yet myself. Let us know how it goes!
