Wiper's are starting to go

my wipers only work when they on the higest setting, if i put it in the delay mode they will stop and start. I think it is the wiper transmission. i need help

Sounds more like the switch is going bad... normal on a Disco.

i here about that, but there is a lot of play in the wipers. you can move them up and down about 3-4 inches
