    LR4 Second Battery Install

Traxide G3 Kit install Here are links to download the PDF's that I had squirreled away for the LR3 Traxide install. Same, pretty much applies for the LR4 with the exception of what has been outlined previously on the forum. Use at your own discretion... Read Me First...

    2011 with iPhone6

Here's what worked for me... I have a 2012. Use the old iPhone 30 pin connector cable and then buy the 30 pin to lightning cable (its around 9 inches long) and plug that into the iPhone 6. Works like a charm and will also charge the phone.

    GoPro for Trail Vids?

GoPro's work great. Make sure you get the remote version though. It saves a lot of headache getting in/out to turn the thing on/off. The GoPro3 Black comes with the remote.

    LR4 Second Battery Install

Hi Paul. I believe you're referring to the first set of images on the first page of the post correct? That bracket is already part of the car. If memory serves it was holding the horn which is in the images. I made the "L" brackets that hold the transfer case which was on the other side of...

For those who have the power folding mirrors

My drivers mirror is a squeaker... I even had it replaced a year ago and the new one does it too. I'll probably have them do it again before the warranty runs out if I decide to keep it. Its a design flaw IMO. I'm in Seattle so its not a dust thing and lube seems to help but it comes back...

    LR4 Second Battery Install

Finally got around to snapping a couple of pictures of our ARB cooler installed in the LR4. First photo shows just the cooler on its mount inside the truck. The second shows it pulled out for access. The third is a rear view shot. The nice thing about this setup is we can still use one of...

    LR4 Second Battery Install

@umbertob. I don't recall how long it took but not to worry. Tim will do right and you'll get it. It's great he's sending you the updated kit. If you run cameras you'll want that. The ARB fridge we use senses when power drops too low and shuts down. I've only seen that when testing to see how...

    LR4 Second Battery Install

Took another look at these pictures and I think what I did was flipped the plug when I clicked it into the truck. The orientation of the green wires looks to be flipped from the original position. I do remember whatever I did I used the slide-in clip again. I checked the plastic box I removed...

    LR4 Second Battery Install

This is the same connector relocated... The connector is down below with the 4 blue dots down by the firewall.

    LR4 Second Battery Install

@umbertob Yeah, that took some fiddling... There's a square hole way down in the back that I used to relocate the union of the two plugs. It was originally held together in one of these square holes up in the box but there's another down in the back near the firewall. Its a tight fit but it...

    LR4 Second Battery Install

@umbertob I can't weigh in on this question since I've never had to do it. But I suspect as a precaution it wouldn't be a bad idea to unplug the traxide from the lead coming from the main cranking battery. Below is a nice writeup of using your second battery for jumping your main cranking...

    LR4 Second Battery Install

@gamh2001 umbertob is correct. I installed this to run our ARB refrigerator when we go camping. It will keep the fridge going for at least 4-5 days without starting the truck. We also use it to charge our electronics, such as phones, emergency radios, etc. without having to start the truck...

    LR4 Second Battery Install

@drivesafe If memory serves... I think the cable coming from the Traxide box isn't long enough to reach over to the other side. I ended up putting sticky felt on the underside of the bracket to ensure it didn't come in contact with the bracket. A different bracket would probably work better...
