Sorry to revive and old thread, I’m having battery drain issues and trying to rule out the alternator. It pushes 14v when running and charges the batteries. Overnight when parked and locked they drain quite fast.
I have the same year (2013) and traxide setup.
Any information on the alternator...
Hi all. Any chance anyone knows if the piece in the pic is replaceable? If so can someone identify the part name or number? I don’t think its part of the recovery point metal. Seems to be quite thinner and has that rectangular cutout.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks, car sat for 2 days.
I had the CTEK on for a couple hours, and pulled the SM relay and put back in.
I tried to start and it started straight up. I shut it down and it started fine again and drove all good.
It’s not the OEM battery. It’s an Interstate model.
I’ll see if starts later...
Hey all,
This damn car is driving me insane. My wife rung this morning and couldn’t get the LR4 started. I was about a 5 hour drive away and the noise was like ***. So being a good boy I drove the hell home and yup, no starting.
I have an AUX Traxide set up and and had the CTEK on there for...
I finally seem to have sorted to the issues with LCA’s and the alignment. I put Corse 18’s on with Cooper ST MAXX 265/65/18’s.
When cornering at moderate speeds the traction control keeps engaging on dry roads. The car generally seems “wobbly”. I had the 19’s with LTZ Zeons and never had any...
Forgot to reply to this. So i talked to AB and they promptly sent a new set of LCA’s. Had them installed and couldn’t believe what came off. Both LCA’s were cracked at the weld where the large bushing goes opposite of the ball joint.
I’ve never seen anything like this before. So this cost so...
Thanks all. I booked in to LR but it’ll be a week before they can get to it. I went by a place close to my work and they had a quick look with the jack under the control arm and lifted a couple inches. When they used a lever under the wheel they said the ball joints were moving up and down in...
13 LR4 with 50k miles now. I replaced the lower control arms with new ones from Atlantic British. I got the supposed upgrade ones with the heavy duty bushes. I was feeling some knocking in the steering wheel on sharp bumps. After that it was still there. The mechanic I took it to said the driver...
You were right for sure. I loaded up the rear with bags for 4 people and two 16” bikes in the rear, 4 bike rack with 4 bikes, 2 adults and 2 kids a dog, and the only extra thing I have permanent is the D34 battery. First time on the highway and the night before I put the Cooper recommend...
Thanks, I did ring Cooper and wasn’t sure I get the exact details from them. The lady had to look through heaps of files and there wasn’t a listing for LR4 so used LR3. She said the weight they had was 7100lbs and the pressures were F-40, R-42.
I didn’t get the 5th wheel yet. I was able to transfer over the TPMS no problem. However I never thought about that I could disable with the GAP tool. Probably would have if I knew ahead of time.
The wheel nuts were confusing at first but a picture helped. I went with the DP Accessories ones in...
Anyone know the process for doing this as far as the welding? I’ve never welded on a vehicle before.
I assume you disconnect batteries and have the earth as close to possible to the area being welded?
Any chance a template would be floating around of the fill in piece? If not I’ll measure and...
I looked into this for other countries but for the US it doesn’t seem that bad actually. Here are two good links;

You are limited to one year and must...
Hi all, I’ve just fit the Evo Corse wheels with ST Maxx in 265 65 18.
One question I couldn’t seem to nail down was for tire pressure.
Anybody have any recommendations?
I have done the dual battery this week with Optima and will do rear fridge soon.
So not as weighted as would be with bull bars...
