Question for LR4 owners who upgraded from an LR3

Not sure if this helps, but we've had LR3 loaners. One of the first comments my wife made was regarding noise. We're not sure if it is the tires or not, but the LR3 definitely seemed louder. We did not notice any creaks or squeaks, but this was a low mileage loaner. As you probably noticed...

    Sirius Channel Selection Issue

Update Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it didn't work. Car is at the dealer today for the software update. According to the dealer, we are not alone in this complaint - several customers have also complained. They have raised with "higher ups" at Land Rover and hope that a...

    Windshield visibility issue?

Agreed. I was part of the original post complaining and have gotten used to the glare. Still distracting, but not as much as when we first bought the vehicle.

LR4 Steering Wheel off center to the right -

We actually have the same issue. It has not gone away after 9K miles, but there is no unusual tire wear, pulling, etc. Looks as though someone was a bit sleepy in the factory. I plan on fixing when we do a 4 wheel alignment. At this point, my assumption is that the dealer would not fix as a...

    Sirius Channel Selection Issue

I was wondering if anyone has had this issue or knows of a solution. If we are listening to "Hits 1" on Sirius (channel one) and turn off the vehicle, upon restart the radio always switches to the generic Sirius "introduction channel" (which I think is the highest channel - whatever number that...

    Extended Warranty

I passed, but my circumstances were a bit unique. I can't recall the price quoted by my dealer but it was probably around that price or a bit more. Part of the reason why I passed was that the "business manager" just added it into the finance amount without asking...just told me I was to...

Placed an order but torn on colors, advice and opinions needed

Personally I think the dark colors or very light colors (mainly white) work best with almond/arabica. You could certainly go either way, but I think the ebony with piano gloss trim really complements the Stornoway grey. Keep in mind I'm biased.

Placed an order but torn on colors, advice and opinions needed

Color is really subjective, but here is my 2 cents. I don't normally like a white car, but we seriously looked at the alaska white with almond/arabica interior. Really was a nice, bright clean combination. Then we saw a Stornowaye Gray w/ebony and piano black trim and bought it on the spot...

    LR4 info display

The lack of audio information on the TFT was disappointing, but not a deal killer for me. It was disappointing...even my 2005 Audi has this information in the driver display. As far as Nav, Audio, MP3, etc., I have no issues. On the Nav, if you are offered several rout3 options but then hit...

    Newbie Questions

    1. Seems as though you are correct. I have not found many LR4 specific sites/forums. 2. The LED's are not standard accross all trim levels. They are for LUX and LUX +, although lights look the same for all trims. My dealer said the daytime running lights are just the parking lights or...

    Air Suspension Issue?

Same here. I think the system just releases pressure. Access height is essentially the suspension depressurized (the shock absorption dampening is much less). Does cause a bit of surprise to passengers unfamiliar with the car. Curious to hear what the dealer says.

    LR4 Windshield Defroster

Thanks. Hope you are right. I'm one of those people who like a clean windshield...you're probably right....sometimes I forget (during the day), especially when looking in the distance. It's lights at night that really bug me. On a related note, anyone know if the heating elements will...

    LR4 Windshield Defroster

It's actually the heated windshield elements. If you look closely, it's like graph paper in the windshield. I noticed it within a few days of taking home our 2010 LR4...my wife didn't notice until I pointed it out (she's not happy about me doing that). I agree with the poster above...during...

    LR4 Tow Hitch Receiver

Receiver only (no wiring or ball) can be purchased as a stand alone item for less than $400 (you can buy them online at a discount) if all you need is the receiver (bike racks, etc.). Same receiver as LR3.
