ARB Deluxe Winch Bar for the LR4 (FINALLY)!

I live in Oz and had an Opposite Lock winch bar. Look very similar. If you run tyres as big as my 285/60-18's they rub on the ARB bar but not on mine. We use them for winches, spotlights, aerials mounts, and for protection against roos. Brett

LR4 spares we should all carry

Emergency airup kit and height sensor. Faultmate would be very handy. Brett....

mounting second set of wheels and tires

I change my tyres regularly for my offroad set....a couple of times a month. I use a trolley jack and remove the fuse that controls the air suspension. Leaving the door open does not prevent the suspension self adjusting on my car. Leaving the door open only stops the use of the up and down...

    Battery life on Discovery 4

Hi Mike, Based on the words that you have used, I have offended you...this was not my intention. But I will go on further based on information that I have read and from those in the industry....without any intention to offend. 1. My agm exide factory battery fitted to my D4 needs a boost...

    Battery life on Discovery 4

Vehicle alternators have never "properly" charged batteries from what I understand, and with newer ones like the Disco the alternators only switch on when needed, thereby never giving modern batteries what they need. I have always put my vehicle batteries on a smart charger once a month and...

Question for those with Compomotive wheels

I keep my factory rims for around town, and when I head out bush or the beach, or put my offroad rubber on. I use Cooper LTZ 285/60-18. Slight rub on full lock..very slight. Huge difference offroad. On road I still run LLAMS at -20. Brett....

    Comp PD1880 hubcaps?

Great shots Umberto.....she looks the part. I drive around with LLAMS set at -20 and no rubbing when using my 285/60-18's. still wont rub on access and -20. They do rub ever so slightly on full lock in reverse on the chassis rail. Might need to go out and give my Fuji White a polish after...

    Comp PD1880 hubcaps?

With the dual batteries, most have a battery under the bonnet, but after having batteries failing too frequently over the years from under bonnet heat I now have it located in the rear. It's a 105amp agm in a battery box, charged by a redarc dc to dc charger. Dc charger is hooked into an...

    Comp PD1880 hubcaps?

Umberto, I don't appear to have any ring attached to the rims. I gather that my caps must just be a better fit, as they click in, and are definitely held in by the inner plastic clips. I like the colour of your D4. I had to really go with white, as I scratch the bugger out of the paint on...

    Comp PD1880 hubcaps?

Definitely no issue with my set. Tight fit, and about the same pressure needed to remove as the factory ones. As the original OP stated you could always add glue, but on the heavily corrugated roads that have hammered my tyres, none have parted way. Brett.... Outside pic.

    Fuel tank capacity- Sucks

Maximum I have put in so far is 48 gallons (180litres) :aetsch: Love the long range tank! This gives me about 1400-1500 kms easily. Towing 2.5 tonne brings it down to 1100kms. Brett.....

2013 Land Rover LR4: SEMA Build

In most cases they need to face forwards. On comp trucks, when there is a lot of mud and deep water, they will have them face backwards. Whenever I got through deep (real deep) water, I turn the intake backwards. Heavy rain is not issue as the safari snorkel has a drain the allows water to...
