I called the deal and spoke to the service person. He did say they are charged while in the hole.
I idled the truck with the key in it (obviously) and now it's working again.
All of Wharton State Forest is drivable. But it flat and sandy. Not really very exciting.
Our dealership does their off road events out on Six Flags property out by Freehold.
There are some OK camp spots in the Pines but need to be a winter trip or they get over run.

We have an 08 LR2 that has sat for the last few months. Meaning it has not been run or driven since early March.
I went to start it up yesterday and the key fob button would not unlock the doors. neither one of them would work. I popped out the little key in the fob and unlocked the door...
It has been doing this even before the rotor change. Since new I mentioned in the first post.
But no did nothing to the parking brake pads when I swapped the rotors
Pretty much since new this has happened, but I keep forgetting to mention it when I bring it in for service.

It won't stay in the slot now. I can see a few strands of the sensor wire is also exposed but since it did not wear through all the way it still thinks all is OK.
Since it was in the slot but now on the wrong side I guess it took a few hits before it came out of the slot. Surprised it was...

OK I'm an idiot, there I said it. :stupid: Made a $250 dollar mistake when I changed my pads a few weeks ago.
Front left was still very noisy and grinding. Never got better. All the outer surfaces looked fine so nothing was obviously wrong...

As for the rears I was surprised to even see the drum brakes in there. Sure made for getting one of the rotors off a PITA
I did a few panic stops from 30 or zero, hard enough to activate the anti-lock system. I guess I need to get on them harder. Seems to be getting better. but still loud enough to hear if the radio is off.
I guess I'll turn the radio up louder :)
